Josh was walking with his gay partner Cody down a San Francisco street. Josh and Cody were just walking and talking together and they overheard two men walking near them who were saying bad things about gay people. Josh and Cody, being gay turned and confronted the two men. "Excuse me what did you say?" asked Cody.
"I said that gays are stupid and weird." said the man.
"You do know that gay people are people just like you and totally normal." said Cody.
"You must be gay yourself then if you think that." replied the man.
"I actually am and I'm proud of it." said Cody.
"Uh huh well you wanna fight then?" asked the man. Cody didn't need to wait to be asked twice. He was full of anger and let it all out in a hard right hook to the mans face. The man went down but his friend was right behind him. His friend yelled to the people congregating around, "If you hate gays then join me and fight these gay boys." Some people attacked Josh and Cody but many of them came to their defense. The fight grew into a brawl and finally someone decided to call the police. The police came and decided not to prosecute anyone but warned that they would if it ever happened again. Everyone left except Josh and Cody who stayed to talk and James who also supports gays although is not gay himself. Mr. and Mrs. Davis are also still here and talking to James.
"James have you seen my son Devin recently?" Mr. Davis asked.
"I saw him in an alley brooding on my way over here but since he looked thoroughly upset I did not stop to talk to him. I have seen him like this multiple times in the last few weeks and I don't know what it could be about."
"Nor do I." said Mr. Davis.
"Oh here comes Devin now."
"Can you please try to find out what is troubling him James? It would make us feel so much better to know what it is."
"I will try my best Mr. Davis"
James walked over to Devin and they started to walk. "Devin what were you crying about in the alley this morning?" James asked.
"Well, James, you see, I think I might be gay. I know my parents really wouldn't like it but I was thinking I have never really liked girls and I kinda like guys so, I mean I am pretty sure you'll support me but I don't know about some of my friends and my parents won't so I don't know what to do."
